Cindy graduated from Bergin University of Canine Studies in 2002. She has over 16 years of expertise in training and placing assistance dogs.  Cindy has over 20 years of experience in canine breeding and healthcare.

Andrew Armstrong

Andrew is involved in helping people with disabilities gain greater independence. Through the use of highly skilled service dogs, with a focus on returning members of our Armed Forces. Andrew and his service dog Smitty, have spent countless hours volunteering with children who read to his dog. Andrew has witnessed the impact of a dog reading program and is excited to introduce National Assistance dogs in a reading program.

Sammye Darling
-Director of Operations

Sammye Darling is an honors graduate from Texas A&M University, where she received her Bachelors of Science degree in psychology and minor in neuroscience. After gaining specialized training with assistance dogs that serve individuals with disabilities, Sammye founded Texas Service Dogs that has since joined forces with National Assistance Dogs. Sammye has over a decade of experience with dogs and is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer Knowledge and Skills Assessed (CPDT-KSA) that particularly enjoys working one-on-one with clients solving behavioral problems and teaching service dogs their advanced behaviors or service dog “tasks.”
