Dr. John F. Prater, D.O.
Dr. John Prater graduated from Ohio University Medical School in 1981, earning his
Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO). Dr. Pater is a Board Certified Psychiatrist
currently in the State of Florida. Dr. John Prater has over 15 years experience in clinical
trials. In addition to his work with patients at his private practice and research clinic, Dr.
Prater serves as a Staff Psychiatrist for Florida Gulf Coast University, as Consultant for
Impaired Practitioner Network for the State of Florida and also holds the title of
Associate Professor of Psychiatry for Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale,
FL. Previously, Dr. Prater served as a Hospital Corpsman in the First Marine Air Wing
with the United States Navy from 1968-1972. Dr. Prater continues his service to others
as part of the NADI board of directors, which she joined in 2017.
